Abstract

Objective: One of the theories in the field of sociology is Max Weber theory of charismatic authority. The present study intends to examine the activities and actions of the martyrs of Ayatollah Madani and General Soleimani based on Weber's charismatic theory. Thus, the main issue of this research is to answer the question to what extent is Weber's charismatic theory compatible with the personality of Shahid Madani and Shahid Soleimani? And in what areas are there similarities and differences between this theory and the two mentioned personalities, and what are the reasons for it?
Research Methodology: According to its sociological approach, the research method of this article is comparative-comparative description and analysis of data in the framework of charismatic theory and identification of personal, political, religious and social dimensions of Shahid Madani and Shahid Soleimani in the framework of this theory.

Findings: The findings of this study show that both individuals believed in religious, revolutionary beliefs and were obliged to observe the order of the supreme leader of their time and were present in the service of the revolution with all their being and became a school for the Islamic revolution. They also found an indescribable position among their supporters and followers. None of them sought to spread outdated ideas in society. Also, their absence did not lead to the fall of the government, but rather stabilized it as much as possible.
Conclusion: The study of the personality of these two martyrs with Weber's theory shows that besides some similarities and features between the lives of the two martyrs and the theory, there are also significant differences with it. And this indicates that Western theories are not very compatible with other societies, especially the personalities of the Islamic Revolution.
