Analysis of the speech acts of the will of Martyr Seyyed Asadullah Madani Based on John Searle's model

Abstract

Purpose: This research intends to analyze the speech acts in the will of the martyr Mehrab Sayed Asadullah Madani and tries to answer this question that based on Searle's speech acts, What actions does the will of Martyr Madani have? And what is the frequency of each action?
Research Methodology: This research has been investigated and analyzed based on descriptive-analytical method and using quantitative and qualitative methods.
Findings: Among the 41 speech acts, the most speech acts in the will of Martyr Madani with 68.58 percent are related to declarative acts. Also, in his will, eight items, equivalent to 11.81 percent of the acts, are persuasive acts. 14.6% of actions are dedicated to emotional actions.
Conclusion: It should be mentioned that the obligation act (speech act that commits the speaker to do something in the future) and the declarative act (speech acts that cause real changes in the outside world as soon as they are uttered) were not seen in the will of Martyr Madani.
