Abstract

Purpose: This article seeks to provide a reasoned answer to the question of how political communication has influenced the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of regional crises. This research has an exploratory aspect and no hypothesis can be proposed for it.

Research methodology: In this research, the process tracking method has been used.

Findings: The findings of this research are that in the production sector, actors involved in the field of political communication, there is no meaningful homogeneity between small and micro actors such as personalities and parties with the country's official media network. Also, despite significant investment in the official media system, in comparison with other international media that have a similar history to that in Iran, it can be admitted that the media has not been able to create a meaningful connection with the target society. In terms of content, the most important media claims of the competing currents are related to the depiction of how the Islamic Republic of Iran is dealing with human rights, its regional action, as well as the country's nuclear and missile program, which requires a critical reading of the existing order and its corrupt nature to inform public opinion. world in the best possible way. In the field of influence, it is also necessary to take effective measures to improve the media literacy level of the society and provide them with the necessary tools and knowledge to properly benefit from this technological platform.

Conclusion: If the challenges of political communication arising from regional crises are not resolved, it can have a destructive effect on national security.
