Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the speech acts in the sermon of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, on Friday, Nasr, dated 13-07-1403, and to examine the impact of these acts on public opinion and international positions on the Iran-Israel war. Findings: The findings of the study show that direct speech acts mostly include declarative acts, while indirect speech acts are mainly related to persuasive acts. In other words, the leader of the revolution tries to describe the existing facts in expressing his positions through clear and explicit statements, and at the same time, with persuasive actions, he invites people to persevere and persevere.
Conclusion: The results of this research show that the main goal of the leader of the revolution in recent sermons is to describe and explain the current conditions of Iran using historical propositions and describing the objective situation. Besides this, it tries to encourage people to resist and persevere against challenges by creating a sense of hope and determination in people. This trend can have a significant impact on how society understands and reacts to international developments.
