One of the areas related to understanding the basis of soft power in the new era, is the epistemology of power, which has created many reflections in the new era. This problem has formed concepts such as understanding power, hierarchy of power and rhizomes of power in the dictionary of power epistemology, and has made the understanding of power very complicated in the new era. But apart from these cases, some political developments have influenced the epistemology of power in the new era, among them the Islamic Revolution of Iran, which influenced the way of looking at the relations of the international system. Considering this issue, this research, which has been written with a descriptive/analytical approach, seeks to investigate this important issue: how did the Islamic Revolution try to change the rhizomes and understanding of power in the international arena? The findings of this research indicate that the Islamic Revolution tried to change the epistemology of power from the concept of "dominion/hegemony" to the concept of "struggle/resistance" and spread it in different fields of politics and culture. In order to effectively analyze this issue, Alain Badiou's event theory will be used, and based on that, the discourse of the Islamic Revolution will be analyzed as an event for the evolution of the epistemological theory of power.
