In his numerous meetings with officials and activists in the field of sports, the Supreme Leader has always emphasized the vital role of championship sports in achieving the major goals of the Islamic Republic and promoting the values ​​and ideals of the Islamic Revolution. The present study, using a qualitative content analysis approach, seeks to examine the question of how the views of the Leader of the Revolution on championship sports are drawn within the framework of the Islamic Republic. A detailed analysis of the Supreme Leader’s speeches and statements led to the extraction of four central categories, including ideological-religious, civilizational-cultural, strategic-planning, and support-supportive. The research findings show that the Leader of the Revolution sees championship sports not only as a physical activity but also as a strategic tool for strengthening the culture and identity of the Islamic Revolution in the global arena. He introduced athletes and sports elites as cultural and spiritual ambassadors of Islamic Iran and emphasized the necessity of using this capacity to advance the goals and ideals of the Islamic Revolution. In addition, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution introduced the champion athletes as role models for the country's young generation and emphasized the importance of their moral, spiritual, and educational development alongside sporting successes, so that champion sports can simultaneously play its cultural, educational, and strategic role in achieving the system's grand goals.
