Poetry of Islamic Revolution and Awakening is a mirror that reflects the preoccupations and attitudes of responsible revolutionary poets under the influence of Imam Khomeini’s thoughts as well as his Islamic movement. It is this very movement that leads to widespread creation of religious, revolutionary concepts and images in the poems. This paper is an attempt to study the reflection of Imam Khomeini’s ideas of Islamic awakening and revolution, including leadership and guidance, popularity, standing against oppression and colonialism, being religious, battling against pro-West intellectuals, waiting for Imam of our time, opposing ignorance, invitation to awakening, binding mysticism and heroic qualities, doctrine of Vilâyat, and martyrdom onto the works of revolutionary poets such as Mehrdâd Avestâ, Ali Mo’allem Dâmghâni, Hamid Sabzevâri, Hassan Hosseini, Gheysar Aminpour, Mohammadrezâ Abdolmalekiyân, Alirezâ Ghazveh, Parvâneh Nejâti, Hamidrezâ Borgha’I, Alimohammad Mo’addab, Ali Dâvoudi.
