نقش بنیاد دفاع از دمکراسی در سیاست خارجی آمریکا علیه جمهوری اسلامی ایران

چکیده

هدف: نهادهای فکری یکی از مهم‌ترین نهادهای تأثیرگذار در سیاست خارجی آمریکا محسوب می­شوند که برخی از آنها در فرایند تصمیم­سازی در قبال جمهوری اسلامی ایران نقش مؤثری دارند. یکی از مهم‌ترین این نهاهای فکری، «بنیاد دفاع از دمکراسی» است. این مقاله با هدف بررسی نقش آن مؤسسه در سیاست خارجی آمریکا علیه جمهوری اسلامی ایران در پی پاسخ به این سؤال اساسی است که بنیاد دفاع از دمکراسی چه نقشی در سیاست خارجی آمریکا داشته و در قبال جمهوری اسلامی ایران چه اقدام‌هایی را انجام داده است؟
روش‌شناسی پژوهش: این پژوهش از نوع توصیفی- تحلیلی بوده و از منابع کتابخانه‌ای و پویش اینترنتی برای جمع‌آوری داده‌­ها استفاده شده است.
یافته‌ها: یافته‌های پژوهش حکایت از آن دارد که بنیاد دفاع از دمکراسی یکی از مهم‌ترین نهادهای فکری تأثیرگذار در سیاست خارجی آمریکا، متمرکز بر جمهوری اسلامی ایران بوده که با رویکرد تنبیه­گری بدون تعامل و با هدف تغییر نظام در حوزه‌های مختلف پیشنهاد­هایی را مطرح نموده که مورد توجه سیاستمداران آمریکا قرار گرفته است.
نتیجه‌گیری: افکار و اندیشه­های اعضای بنیاد دفاع از دمکراسی نقش بسیار برجسته‌ای در شکل­گیری سیاست رؤسای جمهوری آمریکا در رابطه با جمهوری اسلامی ایران داشته است و ردپای سیاست­های آمریکا در قبال ایران را می‌توان در یادداشت­های اعضای مؤسسه مشاهده کرد که این امر نقش و تأثیرگذاری این نهاد فکری را در سیاست خارجی آمریکا در قبال ایران به وضوح نشان می­دهد.
